Let It Snow? Let It Snow?

Single digit temps, below zero temps with windchill.  Ugh.  Have I mentioned how much I dislike the cold?  🙂   A nurse I met one time when I was in the hospital said the easiest explanation to give people was that I am chronically hypothermic.  Even in the summer I can get cold sitting in the shade with a cool breeze blowing.  So you can imagine how much fun I’m having.

However, with the wind blowing hard and the snow coming down fast, it was rather surreal today.  So here are some pics out my windows.

There are trees on that hill across the street, truly!

Poor frozen shriveled rhododendron!

There are more trees at the back of the yard, but we can't see them!

And more snow...

And more snow…

A lull in the action. But the snow is piling up on the window sill!

I missed a really good shot (those of you who know me can guess where I was! 🙂 ).  My husband went to let the dog in and started laughing as he went through the door.  Apparently Jake was totally covered in snow!

  1. Wow. We’ve been pretty cold where I am but haven’t had snow like that yet. I don’t think we’er expecting any either. And I bet Jake was thrilled. 😀

    • He does like the fluffy stuff. I don’t think even he will be thrilled with tomorrow though. It’s supposed to be -3 by morning with potential windchill of -30. And I have to go get my hair cut!

It’s so dry in the house because of no humidifier on the new furnace. Tonight on the way from delivering knitting needles to Spider Bait’s roomy, we stopped and bought 2 small humidifiers. I wanted three, one each for the kitchen, livingroom, and bedroom. But they only had 2 warm air humidifiers left. The kitchen will have to wait. *sigh*
