Weather, Back Pain, a Little Bit of Work Done

 Random Thoughts

Not a whole lot to talk about today.  I’m still fighting with my back.  It’s amazing how tired pain makes you.  And when you can’t sleep properly, it just gets worse from there.

I found this saying rifling through some papers I had and it startled a laugh out of me.  And a, “Yeah, right”.  And an eye roll.  But still…

Life At Our House

WOO HOO!  I finished my monthly boxes!  I’m going to print out the inventory and add up the teapots and mugs.  I know I have over 40 teapots.  I’m going to split February in half so I can have January out for at least a little while.  My favorite winter teapot is in January.  But first Christmas needs to be put away.  February 2 (Candlemas) is looming.  Yikes!

We did get one thing done this weekend.  The Christmas dishes have been washed and put away.

I can't remember when I bought these. I just remember they were on clearance...

Out In The Yard

I am really tired of this screwy weather.  Here is three days ago:

Snow, snow, snow

Snow, snow, snow

And more snow.

And more snow.

It has now been raining for 2 straight days.  It made it up to 68 degrees today.  And guess what I found?

Daffodils in freaking January.

And my white star shaped flowers whose name escapes me. These have been dug up by my neighbors cats &%@#&. Can you see the paw print in the mud?

And by tomorrow morning it is supposed to be back down to 27 degrees.  WTF?  My poor plants!

Mug of the Day

The following mug was given to me by my BFF when I was in college.  It survived all these years and, if I counted right, 11 moves.  Now Saver of Bugs has it at college with her.  And my BFF is her honorary Auntie.  Long live the blue horse mug!

This mug is so awesome. Sorry about the pic quality though, the camera's not the best.

  1. I understand! My hip and leg have been aching and it makes life very uncomfortable!

    • Welcome! It’s always fun for me to see the face of one of my lurkers! I feel your pain. I have been trying to stick with just Motrin and muscle relaxants ’cause those damn prescription drugs make me useless. Here’s to both of us getting ‘well’ (such as it is) SOON!

  2. Rest IS so important!
    Sleeep, sleeep, sleeeeeeep…….
    or ya know, get better.
    Julie

    • Did you know that if you could actually make that sleeeeep thing work, you’d make a gazillion dollars? *sigh* And I’d be your #1 customer! I hope you feel better soon as well. It sounds like you’re having a rough time of it over there. {{{HUGS}}}

  3. That picture of the birds is awesome! Also I really hope you start to feel better. Pain does suck. As for the quote, I don’t know if I could go that far, but I certainly agree with the attitude of looking at the positive side of things. It makes for a much happier life.
    The weather here is just as screwy as there. But now it’s amazingly windy. It’s the best! I love wind, don’t know why, but I think windy weather is amazing.
    Finally, my life here isn’t much different than normal. Just doing homework, hanging out with friends now and then, and working. I got to work sound board last night. I do like working as a technical assistant. Anyways, I’m off to do yet more various work. Give my love to everyone there. Vale.

    • I love that bird pic as well. I would argue that it would have been more wonderful with a better camera, but there would have been no time. I grabbed that one on the fly from the bathroom window. Those little buggers just will not sit still!

      Love passed on and sent back to you.

      Can you get me a schedule yet? And I also need the dates for spring break and am I scheduling hair and dental appts? Hope the stress levels at work have gone down somewhat. {{{HUGS}}}
